The Good Government Committee today released the following statement endorsing Senate District 12 candidate Scott Talley in the June 28 primary runoff against Sen. Lee Bright:

Last night, we saw a vast majority of incumbent Lee Bright’s district reject the direction that he is taking the district and our state. We firmly believe that it is time for a new direction in SD12 and Scott Talley is the candidate who will represent Greenville’s and Spartanburg’s best interests and make our state proud. The people of SD12 have had a do-nothing Senator for 8 years too long. It’s time to send someone who is a true voice for the district to Columbia and Scott Talley is that person.
