SC Ag Commissioner Hugh Weathers Endorses Republican Scott Talley for State Senate District 12

(Columbia, SC) – Hugh Weathers today very proudly endorsed Scott Talley in his campaign to unseat incumbent State Senator Lee Bright. With the endorsement, Commissioner Hugh Weathers released the following statement:

“When I was elected South Carolina’s Commissioner of Agriculture, I committed to work each day to promote the growth and success of our agriculture industry. Because of hard work, we’ve seen incredible success, and that progress has helped make agriculture South Carolina’s leading industry.  While we constantly have room to grow, it is extremely important we have elected leaders who understand farmers’ needs and who are willing to find solutions.  Scott Talley is a leader who will help encourage the growth of agriculture-related business.

Unfortunately, Senator Lee Bright regularly opposes South Carolina agriculture and the hard working farmers who produce our food, fiber and fuel.

I am endorsing Scott Talley for State Senate District 12 and I encourage everyone who is concerned with South Carolina’s economy to vote June 28th in the Republican Primary Runoff for Scott Talley.”

Hugh Weathers, a third-generation farmer, who resides in Bowman, SC, serves as South Carolina’s Commissioner of Agriculture
