State Sen. Scott Talley was elected chairman of the Spartanburg County delegation for a two-year term.
“I am grateful to my fellow delegation members for allowing me this opportunity to play a more direct role to better Spartanburg County,” the Moore Republican said in a statement. The election was held Monday.
Talley represents District 12, which includes parts of western and central Spartanburg and eastern Greenville counties.
Elected in 2016, he serves on the agriculture and natural resources, education, fish, game and forestry, general and judiciary committees.
